This is my beautiful client Debbie, a super busy CFO of a Non-profit organization. When we started working together, she was dealing with neck and low back pain.


She had been doing Jazzercize classes for a long time, but had never done focused strength and flexibility work specifically designed for HER body.

Savannah reached out to me after seeing a before & after of one of my lovely clients. 


She wanted to know “What exactly did she do to get THOSE results?” 😊


Savannah’s transformation is a unique one. 


You might look at her and think, “Wow! She must have joined a gym and started working out like crazy…!”


But the thing is, Savannah had already been working out


HARD…for 2 1/2 years. Consistently. 


But she was disappointed and frustrated. She was not where she wanted to be.


Or where she felt like she SHOULD be with all the work she was doing. 


Honestly, the exercise portion of her journey was not the problem.


It was her food, her sleep, and most importantly, her mindset. How she felt about herself and her life…


She had tried everything -


Keto, counting calories, macro splits…


She’s even a part of a very popular online training and nutrition group that she loves, except she found the nutrition element so overwhelming that she gave up and gained 25 lbs!


She didn’t know what to do… She knew the answer had to be different. So she took a chance and reached out to me.


After telling me about her situation, she made a strong decision to make a change.

We started slow. Only focusing on eating 3 REAL meals per day and making 2-3 habit changes per week.

Clif ~ "We can heal our bodies of disease"

This is Clif. 


And this is the story of how he went from Type 2 Diabetes running his life to INSULIN FREE without joining a gym, giving up all of his fav foods, or counting a single freaking calorie.


He’s 52. 


Incredibly successful business, family, adventures…


Crushing life, right? 


But there was one thing Clif could not get a handle on…


His health. 


When we started, Clif wasn’t happy with where he was… and was honestly somewhat frightened by the future.  


Being a cancer survivor, he had faced more than his fair share of health crisis. 


At 23 he was diagnosed with stage 3B Hodgkins Lymphoma. 


For the next 6 years he was in and out of remission three times.  He went through chemo, radiation, and eventually a life saving stem cell transplant was his only option. He has been in remission since 1999. 


And if that wasn’t enough, Clif began his struggle with Type 2 Diabetes 12 years ago and  all that goes along with it (blood sugar spikes & drops, afternoon slump, neuropathy, no energy & no stamina…) 


His exact words to me were, 


“I don’t want to go blind or lose a foot.” 


He knew he didn’t want to stay on this path, but wasn’t sure what to do.


On our first call he made a strong choice NOT to continue down the road he was on. 


We started slow. Just a few habits each week. 


Slowly changing what he BELIEVED was possible.


First we looked at how he was fueling his body. 


He began sending me photos of everything he ate. His honesty has most likely saved his life. (He once sent me a pic of a dumdum because he felt that energy dip in the afternoon. ) 


We watched the fluctuation of his blood sugar with EVERY meal and snack. We got a clear picture of what was happening and started making the right adjustments FOR HIM. 


Not just the usual, general advice. 


Not “just eat healthier.”


Not Cutting Calories or Macro Splits


Not Keto or Low-Carb or Intermittent Fasting or Paleo or Weight Watchers or some other popular diet plan. 


We implemented


“Eating According to Clif.”  


His plan with his body’s approval. 


And to help Clif regain his muscle, strength, and stamina we started 3 simple strength & mobility workouts each week. They each lasted about a half hour. He didn’t want (and didn’t have time) to join a gym and to spend all of his spare time driving back and forth. 


All of his workouts have taken place in a spare bedroom in his basement. With a few sets of dumbbells and a folding chair. (Full transparency - he did have to buy heavier dumbbells because he keeps getting stronger. 💪 And we’ve recently added a ball and a step and his workouts take about 45 mins each these days.)


Now Clif has phenomenal energy and strength. 


No more recliner days for him. Lol 


For those who like numbers, here are his stats:


He has put on a ton of muscle


(I know it looks like he’s been hanging out in the squat racks at Gold’s Gym, but I promise it’s just a few dumbbells and his folding chair… in his basement. And definitely not hours. Seriously, 45 minutes, three times a week. Some with me virtually and some on his own with my app. That’s it!)


Down 16 lbs


Down 3 1/2 inches off his waist alone


A1C from 10.5 to 6.0 🔥🔥🔥


He has had to have his eyeglasses prescription changed twice BECAUSE HIS EYESIGHT HAS IMPROVED TOO MUCH FOR HIS OLD GLASSES! 😳😳😳


AND his doctor has been so impressed she’s removed FIVE meds including INSULIN and his med for neuropathy… because he no longer needs them!!


Clif is now living his best life… traipsing through the woods in search of big game, reeling in the most challenging deep sea catch, taking care of his beautiful 64 acres, and most importantly, spending time with his stunning wife and lovely fam. 


Traveling and adventuring.


AND he feels amazing doing it.

My client Sarah is a tech pro, actually working for numerous health & fitness coaches to help them develop their programs and platforms. 


She has had the opportunity to enrol in many different programs  


When we began talking about my Metabolic Peace Health Coaching program and its simplicity, she was intrigued. 


She had always believed that for a program to be successful and get people results, it had to be complicated and full of numbers and counting and measuring and hours at the gym…something she had “no interest in messing with…”


She was a bit skeptical at first when I told her my clients don’t count anything. Seriously, nothing.

The first week? The back pain that plagues so many IT pros… gone.

Her cycles that had shut her down for several days every month… normal.

I have never met anyone like Diane!

I have known Diane since 2005 when I started personal training with her through Liberty Community Center.

I became very strong and fit through our personal training sessions and the group classes she offered.    


In 2010 Diane moved, and I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer.  


I went through treatment and had some lingering effects that kept me from working out.

When Kimberly contacted me, she wasn’t in despair or overly frustrated. BUT she had the misconception that where she was is where she would stay.

I’ve been saying for years, that I need something that isn’t a diet, but a healthy eating plan. 


I’ve looked high and low and never found the plan that worked for me. 


I’ve spent over a year eating a very strict diet and exercising 2 hours every day and I only lost 20 pounds. 


For one year, I didn’t cheat and yet that was all I had accomplished. 


It didn’t take long to get discouraged and put all that weight back on.

 

After working with Diane for 5 months, I have lost 15 pounds and more than 29 inches all over my body.

When I started working with Diane, my friends thought I was crazy. 


"You already look great!" 


or 


"What EXACTLY do you need to lose?!" 


Were the most common responses.  
 

I started working out with Diane, not because I was unhealthy or wanted to lose weight, but because I wanted to see if I was capable of taking my fitness to the next level, and to do that I needed education.  


I quickly found out that I was capable of a lot more than I thought I was.  


Before working with her, I was working out about 5 times each week and was not seeing any improvement in my physical fitness.  


That is a lot of time to put into something and not see any results!  
 

I had been told by coaches my entire life to go as fast as possible. 


Diane didn't only teach me the most effective way to build strength through my workouts, she taught me how to SLOW DOWN.  
 

Once I began concentrating on the movements themselves, rather than how many I could do and how quickly, I started to see a change In how I felt and how my body looked.  
 

In three short months, working with Diane only ONCE WEEKLY, I lost 9 inches overall and 2.5% body fat. 


More important than the numbers, I FELT FANTASTIC!

In the fall, I started private personal training sessions with Diane. 


I knew if I didn't start doing something, my body was going to crash.  


From all the stress that had built up from years before, new stresses, I lost two parents and started into a divorce, added to it, my body was not doing well.  


I was had been treating thyroid problems as naturally as I could for years, and my adrenal fatigue was still getting worse. 


I had tried yoga, but every time, it was just to much for my body, and I didn't have success long. 


I needed personal guidance, so I went to Diane.

 
She worked with me at the pace that I needed so it would support my system and not overly stress it even more.  


She pushes me just far enough, so that I will continue to improve.


After about 3 months, I was strong enough for her class sessions, and now after about 7 months, I feel strong, fit, and more mentally healthy than I have for a very long time. 


When I started, I could not do very much cardio at all. 


I now find that is not a problem. 


I have seen the difference in the mirror, and friends have commented on my change. 


For me though, that was not my goal. 


I just wanted to feel healthy again. I needed to improve my health so I could continue to heal my thyroid and adrenals.  


I have been able to lower my thyroid medicine and I see the improvement overall with how my adrenals react when I am stressed. 

 
I plan to continue working with Diane.  


Her classes are fun, and the routines never get boring. 


That classes seem to go by so quick!  


I look forward to my workouts with her each week. 


Yes, it can be hard to stay motivated to do it, but I feel too good afterwards to stop now. 


There are too many advantages.

In late summer, I felt my health was rapidly declining; I had pain in all areas of my body. 


I am 60 years old, average weight female, I have osteoarthritis in one knee and symptoms of fibromyalgia throughout my arms, shoulders, back and thighs. 


Most every day I felt like someone had beaten me with a baseball bat.  


My husband, a super guy, does all our grocery shopping and cooking, we thought we were eating very healthy foods, i.e., tomatoes, garlic, multi-color peppers, zucchini, lots of chicken, some whole grains/crackers an occasional cookie or two and lots of juicy fruit, but I felt TERRIBLE.  


I was very frustrated with how I was feeling. 


My arthritis doctor was all about prescribing me more medication that only made me feel more tired, and didn’t address all my pain issues. 


My doctor mentioned exercise might help, but all I could do was make it through work, go home and collapse, I had zero energy and no interest in doing anything.   


In August, I contacted Diane, she discussed her coaching program that involves metabolic typing – the nutrition philosophy was something I was very interested in learning more about… 


And at least giving it a try. 


Within a few weeks we had my metabolic testing results and I was on my way to feeling better. 


The metabolic typing provided me with tools on what foods to avoid, much of the food I had been consuming was not good for my body type and was causing or creating the inflammation I had.  


I did have to cut out ALL sugars and soy products. 


I was so surprised to find these products in so much of our processed food, no matter where you shopped, in a chain conventional grocer or an organic grocer, there is so much sugar and soy found in our food.  


By the end of month two I was feeling better, my muscular aches where beginning to subside, I was experiencing some weight loss, a few pounds. 


Nine months later I feel so much better, I have more energy, my muscular pains have subsided, and I am down nearly 15 lbs without trying.


Everybody’s body is different; my husband went on the program and has seen and felt the results when avoiding the foods he is sensitive to.

In the summer I had gotten to my heaviest weight of 244.6 pounds. 


Losing weight used to be no problem.  


I was athletic growing up, and wrestled in college.    


However, when I got into my late 40s and early 50s, I was finding that I could lose a few pounds by dieting, but would end up gaining everything I lost plus a few pounds once I would go off the diet.  


I had gotten to the point that while I was sitting in my chair I would struggle to get a good breath at times, and I would get acid reflux throughout the day.  


My wife would let me know that I was snoring more and more while I was sleeping.  


I was also on blood pressure medication, and had been for about 5 or 6  years.  


I was wearing a snug size 38 pant, and refusing to go up the next size.  


I knew something needed to change.    


In September, my wife and I started working out with Diane.  


We were working out for about an hour every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  


At first we started slow and worked to build up our strength and stamina.  


When we first started working out with Diane it was hard to believe, and a little embarrassing, that I couldn’t do 5 push-ups before I would have to go to my knees.  


However, Diane emphasized that I didn’t get to my condition overnight, and it was going to take some time to get back to where I wanted to be.  


She had me define what goals I wanted to achieve.  


Then kept me motivated and accountable to keep working toward my goal.  


There were times that I would get sore, and start to feel some pain somewhere.  


Diane constantly is asking if I feel alright or if anything was hurting.  


Whenever I did have something hurting she would modify the workout to still give me a good workout, but not aggravate the muscle or joint that was hurting.  


In the past I would  try to push through, and as I got older that would derail my ability to work out, to the point I just stopped working out altogether.   


About 8 months into working out with Diane my weight had stabilized about 228 lbs.  


The workout was helping me get stronger and back in shape, but I needed to change my diet also.  


Diane helped me understand what foods were best to provide me the proper nourishment and fuel my body needed. 


Once I started eating the proper foods, and working out a few days a week I reached and passed my goal weight.  


I still eat foods l like and can go out to any restaurant and order off the menu.  


However, for the most part I try to eat foods that react well together with my metabolic type, and watch my portions.   


We have been working out with Diane for a little over a year and a half.  


I am 53 years old, and I have lost a little over 40 lbs. (currently weighing 203.7 lbs.), and wearing a size 33 or 34 pants comfortably.  


Most importantly, I am no longer on blood pressure medication, I no longer have acid reflux, I have no problem getting a good breath while I am sitting in my chair, and my wife says I no longer snore.

About 20 years ago, I injured my shoulder.

I am in my 11th week of a journey that I couldn't have done without Diane. 


This just a little condensed version of how I was before I met her and after. 


Several years ago I broke my ankle pretty bad. 


4 surgeries later I got depressed and stayed that way for many years, gained a lot of weight and decided my life was not worth much since I thought I couldn't do any kind of physical activity. 


After turning 46 I decided I needed to change, I joined the rec and read about the personal trainers they had there. 


I made an appt with Diane, I told her my story and she assured me she could help. 


I started going 2 x a week. 


I went every week. 


I started feeling better day by day, much to my surprise. 


I started noticing I had muscles that I hadn't used in years or or ever. 


She introduced boxing as part of my workout and I absolutely love it. 


When Diane gets a certain look in her eyes, I know I am in for a good hard challenging workout. 


Diane is so compassionate about helping people feel good about themselves, not only physically but mentally as well.

 
I had Diane do a metabolic testing on me to see what kinds of food are good for my body. 


I had never heard of that before, so after explaining to me how it works, I wanted to try it in conjunction with exercising, so I could learn how to cut down on my portion sizes and eat for energy, not because I'm bored or just want to eat. 


I weigh every week, show her my food tracker sheets and she keeps me accountable. 


I have lost almost 5 pounds and with the exercise have lost 7% body fat, gained 20 pounds of muscle, and lost 10 pounds of body fat. 


Not to mention I am losing inches. 

I went to my ankle doctor and Diane had given him a report, he said that he has worked with lots of trainers and said that he could tell how in tune she is with me. 


He said "She knows what she is doing". 


He very rarely sees trainers with the knowledge and compassion that Diane has.

 
She tells me that I do all the hard work, (which that is true), but if it wasn't for her showing me that I CAN do things and the encouraging words, and working with me I would not be where I am today. 


There are some things I will never be able to do, but that is ok, because of the tools she has taught me there will always be something I can do. 


I will continue to train with Diane for many more years. 


I am happy and confident in myself as a person. 


I never knew that exercising could have such an impact on my mental health, but it really does.

Working out with Diane is the highlight of my week.  
 

I started of with her exercise program.  


I couldn't get that next muscle soreness working out on my own anymore.  


She has been able to figure me out and help me to work my muscles again!  


After having a baby and an emergency c-section I couldn’t feel my abdominals after I had worked out. 


I had been to 4 trainers trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. 


I got responses like: 


“Well since you do pilates 3 times a week your abs are very strong” 


“We don’t always feel muscle soreness after working out” 


And I was told something about the balance of lactic acid…


Nothing made sense to me...


I had told Diane my concern, that it had been 3 years since I had felt the muscle soreness in my abs.  


After working with her, she discovered I was using my hip flexors for all ab movements. 


She has changed how I do my abdominal work and for the first time in 3 years I can actually feel my abs when working out!  

 
Diane is an amazing trainer that cares, listens to her clients, and gets results. 


Then, due to health problems, I started Diane's Metabolic Peace Coaching Program.  


I started the program during a stressful time when I would normally end up really sick.  


I made it through my stressful time with lots of energy and health.

I started exercising a year ago to lose weight. 


I was running on a treadmill and doing Step Classes approximately 4 to 5 hours a week. 


A year later I weighed 10 pounds more then when I started. 


I was getting really discouraged until I decided to take a kick boxing class and met Diane. 


I was venting to her before class one day when she told me I had to change my diet to get the results I wanted. 


She told me to go to her website and check it out. 


I decided after asking many questions that I could do this (even though I've always eaten whatever I want, whenever I want and had little to no will power). 


She told me I wouldn't have cravings and I wouldn't be hungry in between meals!! 


I actually didn't believe that but I was desperate so I decided to give it a try!! 
 

I've been doing my individual plan for two and a half weeks now and I've went down a pant size, I have NO cravings, I was an Advil junkie (for joint pain and migraines) and now don't need them, and I'm not hungry between meals. 


I gave up all sugar, artificial sweeteners, and all white flour and don't miss them.


I went from 4 Diet Cokes and a handful of M&M's almost every day to none with Diane's help and have not suffered at all! 


I now tell everyone about Diane and what she can do for them because if I can do it, anyone can. 


I now know I can get to the weight I want to be and stay there.

When I first heard about the Metabolic Peace Coaching Program, I was very excited. 


It was the first “diet” that made sense to me. 


I had tried dieting on my own by cutting calories, and I had tried Weight Watchers, but I was always hungry and going over on my “points”. 


I got very discouraged and thought I couldn’t lose any weight. 


With the Metabolic Peace, I can eat when I’m hungry without worrying about calories, as long as I follow the simple ratios of protein, carbohydrates and fat required for my metabolic type. 


I don’t have to measure anything, or count anything – I just have to eyeball the approximate ratios by looking at my plate. 


This diet is extremely easy to follow. 


In fact, I wouldn’t even call it a diet, at least not in the traditional sense. 


Since I’ve followed it, my skin has cleared up, I have less headaches, and I lost some weight – but most importantly, I feel much better overall than I did before I started. 


And if I eat something I shouldn’t have, I can tell a difference in my mood and well-being. 


Metabolic typing definitely works, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

When I started training 2x a week with Diane, I could hardly go up and down my basement steps, my body ached in the morning when I finally woke up, and I knew I was heavier than I had ever been. 


I am pretty sure I was headed towards Type 2 Diabetes.  


I couldn’t make it through a whole day without feeling completely worn out. 


To be honest, when she first showed me my Metabolic Peace Diet Plan, I thought there was no way I was going to be able to follow it.

I began training with Diane about a year ago within a few months I lost a few pounds and inches. 


Then my weight loss became stagnant, she suggested that I would see more results if I tried her Metabolic Peace Coaching program.   


I was skeptical because I have tried other weight loss programs and end up gaining the weight back.   


Boy, Diane was right!   


After completing the first 12 weeks of eating the right foods, I lost total of 11 pounds and 11 1/8 inches.

Before working with Diane, I had structural related issues such as slumping shoulders, incorrect posture at pelvis and my feet did not track straight.

I’ve got muscle definition in my calves! 


I shaved my legs this morning — being spring now, the cave bear must awaken and come out of hibernation — and I was completely surprised and delighted. 


Didn’t even know we were working this muscle group.

I’ve never done a boot camp before and never had a trainer either. 


This whole deal was a huge step of faith for me. 


In the past, I’ve been a member at the YMCA, promising myself to go work out.

It’s so important that you demonstrate appropriate modifications for each exercise then encourage us all to modify and challenge ourselves as we feel we can. 


Never once have I felt ashamed, or embarrassed to be where I am. 


The most exciting thing is that I’m making progress and not just in my calves. 


I am stronger going up and down stairs, my balance is returning and I have more energy.
